CSCM Newsletter December 2017

What a year 2017 has been!

We saw Brexit confirmed, the rise of changes to the Data Protection law with GDPR, CSCM got nominated for two awards and young prince Harry is getting married. It’s also 30 years since I left school & CSCM reached the age of 22 (yes I am only that old).

So I would like to thank all the team for their hard work throughout the year it’s been a busy one and I know you guys deserve the Christmas break. Secondly I would also like to thank all of our customers for your support and business, you are the reason we exist and myself and the team enjoy creating solutions to help your organisations.

The team here are looking forward to next year, the office refurbishment will be complete and we have some exciting new services to offer, including a service that will help identify if you have any vulnerable data on computers in your business. I am told this service could be very useful when it comes to GDPR and help unravel a simple process that everyone seems to be making so complicated.

We have also expanded our hosted and cloud solutions. The Business Hive is growing and we are helping our customers to become busy organised bees with the launch of some very advanced cloud technology including CAD in our cloud.

So have a great Christmas everyone and I look forward to working with you all in the New Year.

Best Wishes Jude

On Sunday the 9th December they are holding a party for the patients and the donation CSCM has given will ensure that every child attending will receive a gift, as well as helping the charity continue to support patients with diabetes.
Heartlands Hospital Charity is part of a group of four hospital charities, supporting patients, families and staff by providing those added extras which can not be provided by the NHS. If you would like to donate please click here.

Job Title - Senior Technical Engineer

Length of Service - 14 years

I have worked at CSCM for 14 years now and my day to day tasks include help desk support, dealing with onsite installations and maintenance as well as mentoring newer members of the team.

I know we all seem to say that every day is different at CSCM, but this really is the case. Each day brings something else to deal with, there is certainly no chance to get bored.

As for an interesting fact, strangely before working for CSCM I used to be a pub manager and I can mix a mean Manhattan!

Building Works Update

The building work is certainly taking shape now, the Technical Department has been completely gutted and rebuilt to create a huge working space, along with new kitchens and bathrooms. The team themselves are still working next door and the Admin team will moving downstairs this week, to enable upstairs to be carpeted and completed.

We are all looking forward to the completion in early 2018 so we can all come back together and enjoy the brand new layout.

For now here's a sneak preview of the before and after!

Class of 2017

Well 2017 has definitely been busy when it comes to new starters. We have taken on 7 new employees in total as well as welcoming back one of our students from Coventry University. Sadly we did say goodbye to Dave Hadley after 12 years, but we wish him well and every success in his new role. Lets see what 2018 brings!
